Hannah Nowlan

Hannah now creatively works as a Melbourne based artist and partner of family business ‘Grain of Descent’. Making paintings, lithographs, furniture, leatherwork & ceramics are all part of Hannah’s diverse art practice. 

Considerably influenced by growing up amongst the surf culture of Victoria’s coastline, Hannah’s practice attempts to communicate relaxed and therapeutic atmospheres inspired by Australia’s vast natural landscapes.
Her current ‘Ocean Series’ looks closely at the symbolism and transcendental meditative nature of the ocean through the fluid mix of coastal colourings & textures.
